Thule Summit K 12 Chains are Not Snugging Tightly on Tire
Question:
My Thule Summit K 12 chains dont appear to fit my 185 55 16 tires 2010 Honda Fit, though they should. Is there an adustment on the wires extending from the front black plastic spoke I can or need to make? There are three holes the wire spokes extend from the middle holes. I think theyd fit if I moved the wires over to the outside hole. But none of the included tools fit the nuts, so Im reluctant to assume thats OK..

The Thule K-Summit chains, size K12, should fit your wheels and tires just fine. You should not need to adjust the wire mounting point on the hub. Check step 2 of your instructions. Make sure the lug mount is seated all the way on the tire lug and is pointed toward the center of the wheel.
When you ratchet the chains on, put plenty of strength on the ratchet. The wires may bow or torque, but they are supposed to. Once you have the chains on and ratcheted down tight, drive for at least 60 feet and everything should then pull into place.
If your lug nuts are 21MM, you may need to get the 21MM lug adapter for Thule chains, part # TH1500052581.

You guys sometimes have videos showing installation of chains on various vehicles. It sure would be nice to see a video of the K Summit chains installed on a 2012 or 2013 Honda Fit Sport. That would be a huge help for those of us that have Fits and are considering these specific model chains but would like to see them on the vehicle first.Cheers,Robert
