Can Fan-Tastic Vent 801250 Fan and Cover Be Replaced With Parts From 00-04301M
Question:
If I have a Fan-tastic FV80-1250.Can I retrofit the fan and cover with that of a Maxxair 00-4301-m. This would give me aprox one inch less height. This would allow me to get my van in and out of the garage. This would be a game changer Thanks

Hi Jim; if you're handy I suppose it may be possible but it seems highly unlikely it will work due to the different designs. I'm sure the answer from the manufacturers will be no. Since both of these are discontinued I think the best solution would be to just replace your vent entirely with the # MA00-04401M which sits at the same 2-7/8" height as the old 00-04301M.
