Troubleshooting A Voyager WiSight 2.0 Camera System That's Constantly Losing Signal
Question:
The camera worked on our first day of three day trip but hasn’t worked since. It just says no signal. Even on the first day it often disconnected and said no signal. We’ve tried the pairing function several times and it fails. We have it installed on our 2020 Winnebago 2306BHS and our tow vehicle is a 2013 F150. The camera is the WVSXM43 Voyager digital wireless observation monitor WiSight 2.0

Hi Lynda,
The distance between the camera and monitor shouldn't be more than 60' for your setup so I would check the voltage getting to your camera. A weak signal is usually a sign that the running light circuit isn't providing enough voltage for the camera to operate. You'll need to remove the camera to get the to where the installer tied into the running light circuit with the camera and then test the voltage with a multimeter # PT89ZR.
If you're seeing less than 12 volts you'll want to check the running light pin on your F-150 to see if it's sending a full 12 volts. If not the issue is with the truck's wiring. If you are getting 12 volts from the truck but the camera isn't getting 12 volts then you can splice in # VGR64VR or plug-in # VGR74VR a PWM Filter to help provide a constant 12 volts to the camera.

Thank you for your suggestions. We just returned from our trip so we will test the voltage. If we need to order the extra part you suggested, can we still return the camera if that doesn’t work out? We ordered the camera November 16.
