Availability of a 5 Lug Wheel For 4.8-8" Tire On a 1972 Sea King Montgomery Ward Boat Trailer

Question:

I have 1972 Sea King Montgomery Ward Boat Trailer. The rating on the label is 3000 lbs. The tires on the trailer are 4.80 x 8 5 lug with a 3 1/8 inch center hole. Do they still make a rim in this size?

The White # AM20006 and Galvanized # AM20008 are the closest size we have to the wheels on your 1972 Sea King Montgomery Ward boat trailer. These wheels are 8" x 3-3/4", with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. Their pilot hole is only 2.8" in diameter which you will need to ensure fits over your current hub. Since the wheels are lug centric and not hub centric they do not have to fit perfectly on the hub and often have a larger pilot hole than the hub to fit different hub manufactures as there is not a set standard.

We do have the White Wheel and Tire # AM30060 and Galvanized Wheel and Tire # AM30070 if you are wanting them to be mounted when you receive the part.
