Troubleshooting A Tow Bar That Binds When Making Turns
Question:
My tow bar has 7inch of from Jeep. I am experiencing an issue when I turn to the right. The Jeep tow vehicle emediately turns left and binds up and cannot make the corner. Is the fact that the tow bar is not level the whole problem. I have tried to remove steering stabilizer and same problem. Jeep drives perfect on the road.

There's a 3" zone of safety with a motorhome mounted tow bar so being 7" off can cause all sorts of problems. I recommend getting an adapter like the Blue Ox High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars # BX88241, which has a 7" rise or drop. If you're wanting to tow some other items like a bike rack you could also use a stacked receiver like the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-514.
I also want to note that you shouldn't be backing up with your tow bar and that if you are that would also cause a bind and potentially could damage the tow bar.
