Kwikee Steps Over Extend and Won't Retract Fully
Question:
Everything works great but they seem to hyper extend and not want to come back. Is there adjustment any where that I can do . I have attached photos of of the equipment. It works in perfectly to the pigtail test procedure from kwikee. Thank you.

I do have an option for you but I'm not sure there is an official step adjustment procedure provided by the manufacturer. That said, I read through some forums and found others with the same issue and they said to try lubing the gears and linkage or possibly assisting the steps by hand while activating. The issue is likely the motor going bad though as it's not arcing out when it needs to so you might want to consider replacing this now before it goes out fully.
If the steps are older than 2005 then you'd need an upgrade kit, the The Motor Upgrade Kit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps part # LC379145 is a great option for most steps allowing you to replace your motor and update the controller which is actually required to replace the motor on a lot of older steps. This kit works with the following series; 22, 23, 28A, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, and 40.
