Recommended Kayak Trailer for Two Vine Shearwater 125 Kayaks
Question:
Hi, I have two Vine Shearwater 125 kayaks. they are 126inch long and 34 inch wide. I want to trailer them on the highway at speeds in excess of 65 miles per hour safely. I have read the specs sheet and I am concerned about the tire rating and size. I would be pulling the trailer with a Toyota Tundra 4x4. are the wheel and tires upgradable? Maybe to a taller size. Will the kayaks even fit? Thanks

The Malone MegaSport Kayak Trailer item # MPG535 has two 86" wide crossbars and will give you plenty of room for your 34" wide Vine Shearwater 125 kayaks. This trailer has a 1,000 lbs weight capacity and can tow boats and kayaks up to 20' long so this is definitely enough trailer to handle your kayaks.
The MegaSport Kayak Trailer item # MPG535 comes with a set 10" diameter x 8" wide tires that have a speed rating of 70 mph and a load range of e. The tire's outer diameter is 20.5" when inflated. To add a larger tire you would most likely need to leave the fenders off when assembling this trailer.
