Recommendation for Adding LED Light Strip Under Awning
Question:
2019 Arctic Fox 25W I have the Solera awning with the lights in the roller. I want to add a LED strip on the trailer so I have light if the awning is in. Can I just tie into the wires for the roller lights? And is it okay for the roller lights to be on when rolled up?

I recommend installing the Opti-Brite LED Strip Light for RV Awnings # OPT32ER under your awning so you can use it whether your awning is out or in. Since this is a small LED light you should be okay tying into the wiring for the roller lights but I'm not sure I would be comfortable having those roller lights on if the awning is rolled up. Even LED lights can get warm and it probably wouldn't be good to have that directly pressed against the awning fabric.
Because of this I recommend routing the LED strip light to it's own source of power with 14 Gauge Wire # DW02414-1, Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05744-5, and a Rocker Switch # 37212525. This way you can turn the light on independently from the lights on your awning.
