Troubleshooting Slide Outs Not Working On a 2004 Keystone Sprinter 5TH Wheel Camper
Question:
i have this currently installed on my 2004 keystone sprinter, its the original one, i just bought it, my slides were working fine at first at extending and retracting but today i went to retract them in and the bed slide came in but it struggled with the living area slide and then stoped half way, the motor sounds the same as if it is running normal, but slide just wont go, i tried to extend and retract and the bed area will move first usually but it was super slow going back out and i had to push the living area out, all this while pump sounds to be running fine with power. i have no leaks in the system, i tried to manually over ride it with the hex bolt on back and of motor with drill but nothing happened with the slides, so i cant help but think it may be a pressure issue, but if it is idk how to fix it, any ideas what i can do to fix this issue?? also if there is anything else that could be an issue please let me know. i waner if just a part is bad that can be replaced easily with out having to spend alot or end up getting a new unit thanks

The most common issue that I have seen with the Lippert Replacement Hydraulic Power Unit # LC141111 is battery power. I recommend first verifying battery voltage when the system is not running and checking to see how much the voltage drops when you are using the slide motor. If you are plugged in to shore power and your converter is working properly this will generally cross off the chances of the battery being the issue.
If the battery power is not the issue and you do not see any damaged wiring in the system then you will need to replace the power unit. Since both slides are no longer working and you do not have a fluid leak then the power unit is going to be the culprit.
