How to Connect Solar Panel to Redarc BCDC Battery Charger

How do I connect the male and female MC4 connectors from my solar panel array to the yellow wire solar input cable on the BCDC 1240D?

Great question!
You'll need to connect the power wire from your solar panel to the yellow wire on the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1240D but the ground wire will be it's own ground so that will need to be to your vehicle frame or OEM ground connection.
You can connect to the yellow wire using the MC4 Connector Kit # RED98VR or you can use the 16' MC4 Connector Kit # RED38VR to connect to your solar panel wiring. You'll ground the negative connection and then you can use that MC4 connector kit # RED98VR mentioned above so the power connection to the BCDC is a quick connect so you can avoid splicing.
Attached is an installation video for you to check out. If you jump to the 11:43 minute mark you'll see were we connect the solar panel wiring. We use a standard butt connection which is also a viable option.
