To replace your Suburban SW12DEL RV Water heater with a tankless water heater I recommend the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater 60,000 BTU # FR68SR. This unit features a heating capacity of 13,000 - 60,000 Btu, well above that of your Suburban. The Vortex system mixes hot and cold water to eliminate fluctuations and reduce the risk of hot water scalding.

It has smaller dimensions at 12-5/8" L x 12-13/16" W x 19-3/16" D so you'll need to make slight alterations to your cutout hole to fill in the gap but the performance output of this unit will be worth the work. The access door on this model is 18" x 18" to ensure that your cutout hole is properly covered.

The on-demand hot water and ability to set the temperature to a specific degree instead of the old fashioned arrow knob will make camping much more enjoyable.

The # FR98SR has the following requirements to properly operate:

12VDC Power Input.

7.2-65PSI water Pressure (40-50PSI recommended). I recommend using a water pressure regulator like # CAM40064 to ensure proper water pressure.

11" WC - 14" WC (13" WC recommended). I recommend having a licensed technician check your pressure and adjust your regulator accordingly to ensure proper gas pressure.

Any options that aren’t gas? We would like to be on 120v electric only.

@WynterD All of the options we currently offer would require gas. You could probably find something that's 120v only at your local hardware store, but it's likely only going to be a "point of use" style heater.
