Troubleshooting Luke Warm Water From A Fogatti Tankless Water Heater

Question:

I installed a fogatti tankless about 6 months ago in my 5th wheel. We live year round in it so it does get used. It has worked fine until about a week ago. The er is coming out warm at best. Sometimes it works fine. I am a plumber by trade and work on house hold tankless all the time. How often should they be serviced?

It's recommended that your Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR be serviced by a licensed technician yearly. Since you aren't receiving any error codes and it's still somewhat functioning it leads me to believe either the thermostat isn't properly working or the gas flow isn't at 11" WC.

I recommend first having a technician check the gas flow to your water heater. If under 11" WC you may need to replace the regulator in your RV. If the gas pressure is fine then I would contact the manufacturer, LaSalle Bristol, and get a warranty claim started. Either the thermostat is not properly functioning or the unit itself is the issue.
