If one of the brakes on your trailer is missing a wire, you will have two options. First will be to replace the magnet. This will depend on what size brakes you currently have installed, but the Replacement Magnet Kit # AKBRKR-M10, as an example, will come with everything needed to full replace the magnet and wires on a 3,500 pound capacity, 10" electric brake. This will work perfectly, but can be a bit of a pain to do.
The easier way, and also the way I recommend, is to just replace the whole brake assembly. As another example, the Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # AKEBRK-35R will be a full passenger side replacement for a 3,500 pound axle and will measure 10" x 2". The # AKEBRK-35L will replace a driver side brake and the # AKEBRK-35 will actually replace both. I tend to recommend replacing both brakes if you go this way, but if your brakes are still pretty new, you will just need to replace one side.
With all that being said, if your brakes do not measure 10" x 2-1/4", let me know how they do measure and I can get you more accurate recommendations.
