Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
Question:
I have a 2003 Chevy 2500HD with a small factory trans cooler, Im going to pull a 5th wheel and want to add the best cooler to assist me and keep the trans from over heating, I watched a youtube for a later GM product and they mounted it to the right of the original and plumbed it right through the OE to the after market Derale, which Part number is the best? D13504?

You mentioned wanting the best cooler for your 2003 Chevy Silverado. The best, as in the most amount of cooling, is going to be a remote cooler with its own fan like # D13960. It does not matter where this cooler gets mounted because its fan offers the optimum amount of cooling all the time.
Otherwise for a standard cooler that would require air flow I recommend # D13105. Its large surface area will provide plenty of cooling for your trucks transmission. To avoid cutting and flaring lines I recommend the hose fitting # D13018. I have provided a link to our FAQ article on transmission coolers for you. I have also linked a video showing a typical installation.
