How to Find Correct Replacement Brakes for Floe Tandem Axle Snowmobile Trailer

Question:

Hi, I have a 2002 20’ floe tandem axle snowmobile trailer. Both axles have electric brakes. I can hear the solonoids or coils buzzing but brakes are not applied. I would imagine that all the moving parts are prob siezed. I would like to get at least one axle working right away. And I’d rather replace the entire assy. Rather than try to free everything up. Could you lead me in the direction of the correct brake assy for this trailer? It has 13” tires Thanks!

The best way to find the correct electric brakes for a trailer is with the axe capacity which can be found on the axle tag in the center of the beam. The brakes appear to be rather small so the most likely candidate without knowing the capacity is the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-2. These are 7" brakes designed for 2,000-2,200 lb axles. I have attached our entire selection below.

We can't look up brakes for any one specific trailer unfortunately.
