Highest Quality ST235/85R16 Load Range G Trailer Tires
Question:
2020 Dutchman Voltage 3635 Stock tires are Loadstar 235/85r16 load range F. Looking for the best tire for our RV. We travel on gravel roads to most of our locations. The current stock tires seem a little soft for gravel roads. Have had a few small punchers in them. Would a load range G be better, or 255/85r16?

I think you hit the nail on the head by upgrading to a load range G tire, though for clearance purposes you will want to stick with the size ST235/85R16. The reason I think upgrading to the load range G tire is a good idea is because the higher the tire rating, the thicker the tire overall.
So a tire that has a G load rating is going to be thicker, higher-ply tire, and the best of these is from Westlake:
- Westlake ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range G # LHWL410
This is a 14-ply tire and has a 13/32" tread depth, which is important on gravel roads as it will be able to navigate the rocky surface better than a tire with lesser tread depth. While no tire is completely puncture-proof, this Westlake is going to be the best constructed for your needs. It also has a great warrant of 5 years, as well as 2 years of 24/7 roadside service in case you should ever require that.
