Usage of the Wired Rack and Shelf in Furrion Over-the-Range Convection Microwave

Question:

On page 8 of the manual it states, regarding the shelf, use in microwave cooking. On page 17 it states, regarding Combi cooking, For best results, always use the shelf when combination cooking. Yet on page 19 it states not to use metal cookware when microwave cooking. What is the right answer regarding the use of the metal shelf or wire rack when microwaving or combi cooking?

I can see why this might be confusing but the information on page 19 that you're seeing is in regards to cookware that did not come with the Furrion Over-the-Range Convection Microwave # FMCM15SS.

The wire shelf is designed to be used during microwave cooking only and has a special coating that allows it to be used during the microwave process, and only during that process. When it comes to the wire rack, it should only be used in the combination or convection cooking process of the microwave.

These two parts are approved for use during these processes but you should use the information on page 19 of the instructions to advise your usage of other pans that might be used in the cooking process.
