Adding Solar Panels To A 2021 Forest River RV Prewired For Solar
Question:
We have a 2021 Forest River RV that has a 10 amp 2 prong receiver mounted on side of RV near battery. I’m thinking the wires are already run to battery. But I can’t see a controller. I’m thinking I only need a solar panel and connecting cable. What’s ur advise???

There are a few different brands when it comes to solar power so I recommend finding out exactly which brand of equipment is installed on your RV. You may have an 2-pin XLR style plug in on your camper which would allow you to easily plug in the Go Power Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller - 130 Watt Solar Panel Item # 34282730 which comes will a solar controller. If you find it is a different type of port you can still use the # 34282730 as it comes with multiple connections to attach to your battery and will allow you to park in the shade and move the panels to the best position for the sunlight. I would check to make sure the port is actually running to your battery and find out which style port is on your RV and then purchase the correct fitting equipment. If you send in a picture of the port I can verify which style you have on your RV.
