Fuse To Tap Pink Wire of Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System on 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
Had hard time finding fuse to tap in engine. I tested one and it was off with ignition but a day later i noticed i was able to turn on compressor with key off. I have a 2015 chevey silverado 1500 I saw they recommend radio but i believe that is a 15 or 20 amp fuse. Plus not sure if I have enough wire to reach radio fuse on passenger side. Is there a reason compressor would work with key off pretty sure i test that fuse before i Tapped in. I used #35 air conditioner compressor clutch in engine compartment luckily i didnt cut fuse wire so i can run it to another fuse if need be. please advice.

Airlift recommends using a keyed circuit that's only active when the ignition is turned on, as the system can activate if the vehicle moves (a strong wind could possibly do it) and possibly drain the battery.
According to the installation instructions, the pink wire from the compressor harness shouldn't be installed on a circuit rated for more than 10A in order to prevent damaging the compressor. I looked over an online copy of the owner's manual, trying to find a good place to tap that in, but unfortunately the fuse diagram doesn't show how much each fuse/circuit is rated. So, you'll need to find a ignition switched circuit rated at 10A or less.
I've linked to a video of a typical installation.
