Compatible Hitch For DSP Rails In A 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 HD - 6-1/2 Foot Bed
Question:
My truck has the rails for a dsp fifth wheel hitch. Is there any other hitch that will work with these rails or adapters for them. Thank you

Expert Reply:
I contacted Demco and was advised that the DSP hitches are rarely used anymore. The rails for the DSP hitches are not compatible with any other type of hitch. If you are looking for a replacement hitch I have added a link to the compatible hitches for your 2005 GMC sierra 1500 HD. We recommend using a slider with a 6-1/2 foot bed like the Demco Hijacker Autoslide Item # DM8550035 with Above-Bed Base Rails Item # DM8552009-71
