Should There be Grease on the Jack Nut Plate When Rebuilding my Jack
Question:
I watched your video on jack rebuild for 800 to 1500 jack and i understand about the grease up on the gears. But I had to spend several hours tapping and putting wd-40 on the nut in the tube. Why is it not lubed?

Cool I did the videos on most of those replacements. I do not know why you had trouble with your nut. Generally there is grease there that prevents that from locking up on you. When reassembling it grease it up really well there is no harm that can come from giving it a good dose and it should last a very long time for you.
A good all purpose grease like the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease part # L11316 is a good choice.
