Can Reese 15k Fifth Wheel Hitch Tow a Trailer that Weighs 16,300 lbs

Question:

I have a F250 with a 15000 lb fifth wheel hitch to haul our 11500 lb RV. I am looking at another RV the weighs 16300. Will the hitch and truck handle the heavier RV. Or will upgrading the hitch work..

You will definitely need a higher rated fifth wheel hitch than what you have now like with the Reese Select Plus part # RP30928 that you referenced which has a 20k capacity as a 15k rated hitch will not safely tow a trailer that weighs 16,300 lbs.

Your truck might have the capacity as well but since I don't know it's year and options I don't have a way to determine it's towing capacity.
