Since both your existing pipes on the 2015 Chevy Duramax and the tip have a diameter of 4" the tip will not slide over your existing exhaust. Which isn't a problem, all you have to do is get the tip lined up, hold it in place and lay down a couple beads. Then, you can remove whatever is holding it in place and finish up welding. If there's a specific look you are going for you may need to trim back your existing exhaust enough to position your tip how you want.

If you are not wanting to weld the tip on, the MagnaFlow 5" Exhaust Tip - Stainless, Clamp-On for 4" Diesel Tailpipe Part # MF35186 will slide right over your existing pipes and clamp on. This will be easier to adjust how far the tip stands out because it is not a permanent installation and you can slide the tip along the pipe to get the look your going for.
