Will Reese Sidewinder Work With Demco Recon 5th Wheel Hitch and How To Tell Which One

I have a Demco Recon 21K lb hitch and a Lippert pin box pulling a 17K lb trailer. What kind of sidewinder can I go with?

The only Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch that can be used with a rotating pin box is part # DM8550043 which mounts to above bed base rails. That said, you'll also need the Custom Wedge part # SWW-05 for this.

In order to choose the correct rotating pin box (Sidewinder) you'll need to find the model number on the pin box sticker. The most common is a Lippert 1621, if this is what you have then you'll need the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin part # RP34FR.
