TBC Error Code on 2006 Ford F250
Question:
HELLO I HAVE A FORD 250 DIESEL YEAR 2006. I HAVE A PROBLEM THAT INDICATES TBC. AND THE TRAILER DOES NOT BRAKE ME AS WELL AS IT COULD BE.

It sounds like you're referring to the factory brake controller in your truck. From what I've researched online, this error is most typically caused by a poor ground on the trailer, a dirty/corroded trailer connector or an internal problem with the controller itself.
Those early factory controllers had lots of known issues, which is why many folks replaced them with aftermarket units out of frustration.
I'd recommend going with an aftermarket proportional brake controller like the Tekonsha Primus, part
# TK90160. You'll also need the # 3065-P harness. You'll need to unplug the factory controller, and plug the # 3065-P harness into the factory connector. Then, plug the other end of the connector into the rear of the Primus brake controller. The fault for the brake controller will continue to show up, but the aftermarket controller will work just fine. If the error code bothers you, your Ford dealer can delete it.
