Will 85.6 Inch Long Dirt Bike Fit etrailer Motorcycle Carrier
Question:
Hi. I am looking at item e98873 and was wondering how long of a bike will fit? I see that it says 79 inches long. But in a photo below I see a few dirt MX bikes. The bike I am looking at says the length is 85.6in that is from wheel to wheel. Not sure what the center would be. Would that fit? Thank you for your time. Marcus

The description doesn't specify a maximum motorcycle/bike length for the Motorcycle Carrier # e98873, but you are correct in that the main wheel tray is 79 inches long.
According to the installation instructions , the front wheel must be positioned completely inside of the main tray assembly, but you can position the rear wheel so it hangs out a little bit past the edge on the other side, so you should be able to get your 85.6 inch long bike on there. I've attached a photo to illustrate.
Just make sure you follow the manufacturer's recommendations of using at least four tie downs to secure the bike to the carrier. I recommend using two sets of the Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Straps # EM31353.
