Best Replacement Tires and Wheels for 225/90R16 and 7.50R16 Tires on a Livestock Trailer

hello i am looking to replace the tires and wheels on my 3 horse goose neck trailer. I just recently purchased this trailer used. it has 2 different size tires on it 225/90R16 and 7.50 R 16. I know these tires are very close in size, BUT safety is my number 1 concern while hauling livestock. the rims are also starting to rust and i would like to have a fresh set the bolt pattern is 8 on 6 1/2. I wanted to contact you to verify that putting 4 new 235/85R16 tires will be an okay replacement. i have looked at tire size calculators and it shows a very small variance in size. i am looking for the most durable wheel and tire combo. i cant afford any down time when im hauling livestock. do you offer any sort of heavy duty steel rim?

I have just what you need. You can absolutely use 235/85R16 tires in place of your current tire sizes. They will be a hair wider, but not enough to make a difference. Diameter-wise they will be almost identical.

In fact, I was in a similar situation where I had 2 different tire sizes on our 30 ft livestock trailer at the farm, one of them being the 7.50 R 16, and I put 4 of the Provider F835 Tires, # TTWPRG235R16, and USA Made Dextar Steel Powder-coated wheels # AM20750, on it a little over 4 years ago and they've been great.

At 4,400 lbs per tire, they've handled the horses, cattle and hay with ease.

We also have USA made steel wheels in Silver, # AM20797, and Black, # AM20761B, if you prefer a different look.
