Are 20.5 x 8-10 and 205/65-10 Trailer Tires the Same Size

Question:

I have a trailer tire that says 205/65-10 but just below that it says 20.5 x 8-10. Acording to a post on this site those are slightly different sizes. If thats the case how could my tire be both?

Although I can't speak to why someone printed that on a tire, but the two sizes are almost exactly the same, so maybe it was an approximation by the tire manufacturers. Essentially you can swap the two out with no issue because a 20.5 x 8 -10 is 20-1/2 inches in diameter and 8 inches wide, while a 205/65-10 tire is 20-1/2 inches in diameter and 8.3 inches wide, so the difference is extremely slight.

Our available 205/65-10 trailer tires are:

- Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire - 205/65-10 - Load Range B (910 lbs) # AM1HP50
- Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire - 205/65-10 - Load Range C (1,110 lbs) # AM1HP52
- Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire - 205/65-10 - Load Range D (1,330 lbs) # AM1HP54

I have added links to video reviews of each of these tires as well as a couple of help articles on trailer tires which I recommend checking out.
