Yes. Because the Curt Echo # C51180 is made to be outside the vehicle, it's engineered for maximum weather resistance, but I would not recommend submerging the Curt Echo for any extended period of time. The unit is filled with an epoxy resin that seals off the internal components from moisture and the elements, ensuring long-lasting operation despite rain, snow, dirt, mud, and more. I do not recommend that you use this on a boat trailer that may submerge the connector, but it will stand up to rain, snow and mud without any issues.
