How to Keep Folding Tonneau Cover from Sticking to Rails in Freezing Weather
Question:
I have the Bakflip BAK 4 and experiencing the problem of the rubber seals on each side and the tailgate freezing down in cold weather. Is there anything that you could suggest that might help? Very hard on the seals when trying to lift them up frozen down. Thanks for any advice.

Definitely one of the things I don't miss about living in the Upper Midwest! In order to keep the seals on your BAKflip MX4 # BAK48126 from freezing to the side rails you'll want to use a silicone based lubricant spray like the Roadmaster LubeMaster Dry Silicone # RM-747. Just spray this along the contact points on the bed rails every-so-often and you'll keep moisture from building up and creating situations where your seals could get destroyed.
This spray is safe to use on non-metal components and sprays on dry so it won't attract dirt and grime.
