Can I Mount 2 Thule Upride Roof Rack Bike Racks Side By Side On My Roof Rack?

Question:

Hello, I currently have a Thule Upride on my 2015 Mazda CX-5 with factory rails and crossbars. I would like to purchase another one to carry a second bike. Will two bikes fit side by side or will the handlebars hit? I see you can switch the interface on the rack to install it on the drivers side. Or should I keep same configuration on the drivers side and spin in so the rear tire would be facing forward to avoid the handlebar dilemma? I appreciate your help and advice. Thank you,

I have good news, there won't be an issue mounting 2 of the Thule Upride # TH599000 side by side on your roof as long as you have enough crossbar space to do so; considering that you're not driving a passenger car with limited space, you shouldn't be affected by this. If you are running into a situation where the handlebars are banging into eachother, you can flip them around and have 1 bike facing forward and the other facing backwards (although this is typically only used when mounting 3 bikes on a roof).

You'll want to confirm with the owner's manual of the 2015 Mazda CX-5 to make sure that the bikes and carriers do not exceed the capacity of your roof's safety rating, but other than that you shouldn't have any issues.
