The Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch # 34264403 that you referenced is a good way to automatically switch between shore power (when available) and an inverter that's being powered by solar charged batteries. It is always going to use shore power if it's present, and as long as the inverter is on, it will automatically switch to it once shore power is disconnected.
For this type of setup, starting at the roof, you will of course first need the solar panels like the 220 watt # 34272628. This particular kit includes the needed controller/regulator, but if you already have some panels you will need to make sure this is added. The controller ensures that the batteries aren't overcharged
From the controller the wiring will go to the battery bank, and from there to an inverter like the Go Power 2,000 Watt # 34278156. This will take the DC output from the batteries and convert it to AC power for your appliances and the transfer switch.
I have attached a diagram my contact at Go Power sent me that shows a really similar setup that you might find helpful.
