Will Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes Fit a Rockwell 3,500 Lb Axle
Question:
will Dexter electric brakes fit on a Rockwell 3500# axle?
asked by: Bob N
Expert Reply:
Yes, the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # 23-468-469 for self-adjusting or the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # 23-26-27 for manual adjusting will fit a Rockwell 3,500 Lb Axle. The Rockwell Axles have the same brake mounting flange dimensions as the Dexter Axles so the brakes are all cross-compatible.
The self-adjusting brakes simply mean you will not have to adjust the star wheel on the back of the backing plate every season for even brake pad wear and performance as it does this for you automatically.
