Is it Okay to Tow a Trailer without Fenders

Question:

I am traveling about 500 miles with a small trailer like for landscape machinery and it doesnt have fenders on the tires will that be a problem traveling a distance of about an 8 hour drive. I will not have any load on it just bringing it to another location. ???

I wouldn't worry about the trailer not having fenders. I've pulled a few enclosed trailers that were missing fenders and it didn't affect anything that I noticed. If you get a puddle or it starts raining the tires will fling water so it might not be as clean but you'd be fine.

No fenders on a trailer or vehicle is down right dangerous. Flying rocks flung head on into oncoming traffic. Can’t believe you said it was fine. Incredibly dangerous.

@Gary It's not ideal and I wouldn't have recommended it as a permanent solution but for a one time situation like what Yolanda described one is most likely okay. The tread on most trailer tires aren't known for grabbing rocks but it really depends on the roads travelled. I wouldn't describe it as incredibly dangerous.
