Identifying Wires of 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 for Installing New 7-Way Connector
Question:
Trying to figure out color wiring placement for universal 7 pin tow connector. I have a 2006 dodge ram 2500 Cummins diesel truck. The wire colors are red, yellow, brown, light green, dark green, white with green stripe and 2 black wires.

Your easiest solution for wiring a new 7-way to your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 that has the wire colors you mentioned is going to be to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test all the wire colors you have while applying various lighting functions like blinkers and running lights so that you can identify them and then use the attached diagram to match them up with the correct locations. I wish there was a way to look up the wire colors you have but that's not something we have access to.
