Adding 3rd Brake Light to Rear of 2016 Honda Pilot

What does the red wire from the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL64RB connect to?

Helpful Expert Reply:

You can use the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL64RB as a third tail light on your 2016 Honda Pilot, though to do this you will not want to use the converter you mentioned. Instead, you will want to use the much simpler Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 run in between the 4-way on your Pilot and the Thinline tail light. The Module will run between your Pilot's 4-way and the LED tail light. You will then ground the white wire of the tail light and run the black wire to the module, which is going to be a much, much easier way to install it than the converter. I have added a link to the (very basic) directions of this module for you to check out.

Good question; since the red wire of the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light # STL64RB is for the turn signals and you do not want the turn signals activated, you can simply cap this wire off.
