Replacement Tires for 1965 Zipper Camper with 165SR13 Tires
Question:
I have a 1965 Zipper Camper with 165SR13 tires. The width between the axle and skirt of the camper is only 4inch and I had to pry the tire off of the camper. I need a thinner width tire that can fit between the axle and skirt. What tire do you recommend?

We do sell replacement tires for 13 inch wheels like yours however the 2 models we carry are actually wider than your current tire. We don't carry a narrower tire that fits your 13 inch wheels however you can always replace the wheel and tire.
A narrower tire size available is 145/80-12 like the Kenda Karrier ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire with 12" Black Mod Wheel # AM35354. This tire is 145 millimeters wide and the section height is 116 millimeters (4.57 inches). When converted to inches the width of this tire is 5.7 inches vs the 6.5 inches of your old tire.
You will need to first check to see if the bolt pattern will match this wheel that has a bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2". Also the diameter (including the wheel) is key to determine fit. The outer diameter is 21.3 inches for this vs. 24.4 of your old tire. I have attached a couple of help articles and a review video to get you started there.
