Should I Fill My Tow Vehicle's Tires To The PSI On the Sidewall Or PSI On the Door Jamb
Question:
IF the original tires that came with the vehicle states Max pressure 80psi cold and the door jam on the same new vehicle states rear tires Max Pressure 75psi cold which one should I use????

Expert Reply:
The load range sticker in the driver door jamb of your tow vehicle is what the recommend psi rating is for the factory tire size. If this is the size you have on your tow vehicle then that is the amount you will fill the tires to. If you have a non-factory tire size that is not listed on the load range sticker in the driver door jamb then I cannot advise on the proper psi rating. That said, you will always want to go off of the load range sticker in the driver door jamb not the max psi rating listed on the sidewall of the tire. The same rules for trailer tires do not apply to the tow vehicle tires in regards to psi ratings.
