Replacing Light Bulb in Greystone Fireplace

Question:

Please, how do I get to the bulb To change it? I see what looks like dowels in the “stone” harth, if that is access, I can’t tell if it’s screws or Allen wrench. Thank you

When replacing the bulbs for your Greystone Electric Fireplace # 324-000065 you first want to make sure that all the controls are off and the appliance is unplugged (for at least 10 minutes).

To then take out the unit itself you just need to lift the trim piece up to expose the mounting screws. Removing the mounting screws will allow you to take the unit out so you can check the bulbs.

At the back of the unit there is a small panel that needs to be removed by taking out the 2 screws and pulling the panel down. There will be three 40W light bulbs in the panel box that can then be easily replaced.

The brick seems to be covering the screws. Looks like we will have to remove the stone to get to screws to remove fireplace to get to light bulb. Which the light bulb is out. Is this right

@BrendaR It is very possible that fascia would need to be removed.

@BrendaR I just pulled mine. The trim piece pushes up to slide off of tabs. You can pry the trim off then push the tabs back. But I would have no idea how you would get the trim back on with the rock fascia in the way to prevent sliding the trim piece back down. There are four Phillips screws behind the trim that are easily accessible once the trim piece is slid up and removed. Pull the unit very straight out. Once out there is a recessed handle on each side of the fireplace. Unplug once you get it out of the wall. The back panel at the back bottom of the unit has 6 screws. Once out the little panel will fall right off. Inside are three clear bulbs that look like those old outdoor Christmas lights. But bigger. Like lamp bulbs with the small candelabra base. Printed on the bulb glass is a circle with the size “40W 120V” Model # WF2613R-1. Date code 1607

@JeanneD I really wish there was a way to upload the pictures on this page but we haven't gotten that function yet. If you want to email them to me with the reference number 340947 I can have them added to this picture.
