Replacement Parts for Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500

Question:

Last summer I purchased a Curt 17500 distribution hitch from a man at his moving sale. After checking the number to make sure it would fit we made a deal. I dont have a travel trailer as of now we are still saving for one. I was ?Happy? as could be. Fast forward to yesterday when I decided to open the box and get the instructions out, many many parts missing. I was scamed bad. Are parts available for this model.

Hey Chris, By chance, do you know if I am able to get parts for the Weight Distribution Head assembly? I don't mean extra Pins or bars, I mean the actual internal parts of the Curt Weight Distribution Head Assembly. The one with the spring loaded Detent Balls. I bought a used trailer and it came with the hitch but, it was never greased and the detent housing on one side of the hitch was cracked as a result so, I need the actual disk that houses the two Steel Balls that rest in the detent depression of the disk itself. I also need the housing piece that the bolt and internal spring assembly goes into because the top of that housing is also wallared out and unusable. Any guidence would be greatly appreciated! Sincerely, Ken

@RobinH Hmm... So, the head is completely serviceable, I don't understand why they wouldn't sell the parts. It seems like a lot to spend $300 to $500 on a new head when the parts are so easily replaced. Is there a way to get the parts from the manufacturer by chance?

@Ken sure, it wouldn't hurt to call Curt and see if they have something they could send you.
