Are Locks Included with Thule WingBar Evo System and Roof Clearance When Mounted to 2016 Mazda CX-5

Question:

Hello, Your main page states that the system is non locking but under more info description it says: Included One-Key System locks secure foot packs to factory rails? I dont understand that. Also, what is the clearance space between the roof and the wing bar? Thanks

The Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack System for your 2016 Mazda CX-5, which consists of # TH711400 for the 2 Silver WingBar Crossbars or # TH711420 for the Black Winbar Crossbars and # TH710401 for the Evo Feet, does include the One-Key System to lock the foot packs to the factory rails on the vehicle. The crossbars though do not include locks to secure any T-track mounted accessories (which is what the "non-locking" description is referring to) but they can be added with the Lock Cylinders 4 Pack # TH450400.

I checked with my contact at Thule to try and determine how much space there will be between the roof of your CX-5 and the bottom of the WingBars. He wasn't able to give this specific dimension but he did say that from the bottom of the foot (the portion that clamps around the raised rails on your CX-5) to the bottom of the crossbar there is a distance of 4-1/2 inches.

What you can do then is measure up 4-1/2 inches from the bottom of the factory raised rails on your CX-5. This will tell you where the bottom of the crossbars will sit when the system is installed.
