Could Rusted Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock for 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 be Replaced

my 2007 dodge ram 1500 quad has a old pop and lock in it.no key,inside is corroded and key wouldnt fit if i had one.just bought the truck my question is can i remove the old lock in it now and replace with a new PAL3400

Yes, you could remove the current Pop and Lock tailgate lock part # PAL3400 you have installed on your 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 and install a new one and you'd be set.
