Tire Cable Chains for a 2017 Honda CR-V EX with 235/60-18 Tires
Question:
Thank you for the quick response, Conner. One more question while I have you...I'm seeing that Z-style chains are better for ABS / traction control / AWD vehicles. Do you know if there's a specific reason why I wouldn't go that route?

The Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains part # PW2029C are a fit for your 2017 Honda CR-V EX with 235/60-18 tires and will work well for you. They are also class s compliant so the limited wheel wheel clearance should not be an issue. The Security Chain Tire Cable Set TC2212MM that you owner's manual recommends is not class s compliant according to the manufacturer, Peerless Chain Company.
I think you will be just fine using the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains part # PW2029C as they provide more clearance than the Security Chain Tire Cable Set TC2212MM that your owner's manual recommends. I would also like to note that Glacier does recommend using the Glacier Multi-Arm Rubber Adjusters part # PW105 with these tire cables to ensure they remain seated in the proper position on the tire.
I have attached review video of these cables installed on a 2017 Honda CR-V for you as well.
