Red or Blue Loctite for Installing Trailer Hitch

Do you recommend using blue or red locktite when installing a class 2 hitch?

Using Loctite when installing a trailer hitch is not required but it can certainly be used to create an even stronger bond. Blue Loctite like the Blue Stick # LT37643 is plenty sufficient for this application.
As long as the hardware for your hitch is properly torqued down according to the installation instructions though Loctite is not needed for a safe and proper connection to the vehicle.
