Tips for Compressing the RhinoEXTREME RV Sewer Hose
Question:
I love my RhinoExtreme, but last summer we were in a seasonal camp site and the hose was extended for around three months. I store the hoses in a plastic storage tub when traveling. After the summer, it was like trying to push a 20 ft python into somewhere it didnt want to go. 1. Is there any way to compress it close to its original length? 2. Have you seen any types of brackets that would compress it for travel? 3. Would the recommended solution be replacing the hose material and re-using the ends? and using PVC pipe for seasonal site

I spoke to my contact at Camco about the issue you are having with your RhinoEXTREME RV Sewer Hose. They said they have ran into this issue before and they have just what you need to tame the 20' long python. What you are going to want to do is cap one end of the hose and then walk the hose into itself. Once you have it fully compressed you would then need to cap the other end and the vacuum seal will hold it together. Please keep in mind that this only works if the hose does not have any leaks. If it does then you may want to try some low temp heat like from a hairdryer as that should help soften the material and allow it to compress. I am not aware of any type of brackets made to compress the hose.
I don't believe the swivel fittings on the end can be removed so if all else fails you will need to replace the portion of the hose with part # CAM39855 for 2' long, part # CAM39865 for 5' long, or part # CAM39863 for 10' long.
