Comparing Demco and Titan Disc Brake Actuators with Electric Lockouts

Thanks so much for your help. I messed up on my question (not your fault) but I realized I have drum brakes instead of disc brakes. My new question is why doesn't Titan make a factory made 7000 lb brake actuator (drum brakes, with electric lockout solenoid) with a lever lock connection? They only make one with a multi fit connection. I can see on your web site that you can buy a lockout solenoid and cover and switch it over but I was wondering if Titan thinks the multi fit connection is better in this case instead of the lever lock connection? Was wondering if you knew anything about this? Do you know if the majority of your customers like lever lock or multi fit connection? (hope my question makes sense).

That is a tough question to answer as both are excellent manufacturers with their respective pros/cons. In regards to brake actuators, they both make and manufacture them here in the U.S.A. and they both come with a one year warranty. In regards to differences, Demco makes a wide range of different trailer and towing products whereas Titan specializes more in trailer brakes. WIth that being said we have had more positive feedback from Titan products in regards to trailer brakes, actuator in particular.
I have attached a list of both Demco and Titan disc brake actuators with an electric lockout for you. Out of these options I recommend using the Dexter Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator w/ Electric Lockout part # 099-175-20 as long as the gross trailer weight (GTW) of your trailer does not exceed 7,500 lbs. This actuator offers an easy bolt-on installation, has a zinc plating for corrosion resistance, and it fits 2 inch hitch balls. This is a very popular brake actuator.
