Lowering Toy Hauler to Make it Easier to Ride Motorcycle Up Ramp Door Into Trailer
Question:
I have a toy hauler and trying to find a way to lower the height of the ramp to comfortably ride the street bike up the ramp. I have made a ramp extension which helps some. I was thinking of replacing the 205 75R 15 tires with same but in 14. Of course I need to go with load range D even though it came with stock load range C. Any thoughts? Or is that a lot of expense just to gain maybe an inch?

I do not recommend going to smaller tires and wheels because that could lead to a whole mess of other problems and like you said it isn't really worth it for a slight decrease in the ride height.
You may be able to lower the trailer if your leaf spring stacks currently sit on top of the axle(s). To move them below the axles you would need to use one over/under conversion kit per axle. We have # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8 inch diameter round axles or # K71-385-00 for 3 inch diameter round axles.
Otherwise you have the right idea with a ramp extension. The longer the ramp the gentler the slope will be.
