Best Transmission Cooler for a 2008 GMC Yukon Denali with the 6.2l V8 Engine

Question:

Hi, I am looking for a transmission cooler for a 2008 GMC Yukon Denali with 6.2. I found the video from your site that shows the install process for the Flex-a-lite model FLX4118GMT cooler. But when I looked for that model on your site, I cant find it. Do have a comparable setup that I would work? While Im asking, is there a class 4 or 5 cooler that would work? Thanks,

The best transmission cooler for your 2008 GMC Yukon Denali with the 6.2l V8 engine is going to be the largest one you have space available for behind your grill and in front of your a/c condenser. With that being said, I recommend taking a look at the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13504. This cooler measures to be 11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep and will do an excellent job of helping to keep the transmission fluid temperatures down. In order to install this cooler you will want to use the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM part # D13035.

We currently no longer offer the Flex-a-lite Transmission Cooler Kit part FLX4118GMT. However, Derale coolers are much more well known and tend to have better ratings/performance. You can reference the attached install video if you need help with installation.
