Troubleshooting Hopkins Smart Hitch #50002 with No Power to Monitor

I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 classic, I hooked up a Hopkins Smart Hitch #50002 but there is no power to the monitor

Since there is no power to the monitor on your Hopkins Smart Hitch # HM50002, you will want to check the reverse light function on your trailer connector using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. The reverse light pin location is the center pin of your connector. If you don't have this function, check your owners manual for fuses first and then check connection for bent pins and proper ground connection. Finally trace that reverse light wire to find a short probing the wire every couple feet.
If you find that your reverse light wire is connected and you still are not getting signal to your monitor, you may need to replace the cable between the units using # HM3100504061.
