Typical Hanger Spacings for Tandem Axle Trailer with 3,500 lb Axles
Question:
I was going to use e59SR

Helpful Expert Reply:
A lot of it depends on the length of the springs and equalizers that are used.
When using Leaf Springs # e64SR with the # AP233 Equalizer Kit and the # H248 Hanger Kit, there should be 29-1/2" between the front and center hangers and 29-1/2" between the center and rear hangers. This should achieve a 4-1/2" clearance between the center of the axle and the trailer frame if you have a 3500 lb axle. I've Provided a diagram that should be helpful. I've also provided a link to our trailer maintenance schedule that may come in handy.
